Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information The Cozy Budget collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain English, the same way we write everything else.

Effective date: June 3, 2026

The Cozy Budget (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Fuente Empresarial S.A.S. This policy applies to the website located at thecozybudget.com (the “Site”). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We collect two general types of information:

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically by us and by the third-party services we use. This may include:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address
  • Browser type and version
  • Device type, operating system, and screen settings
  • Referring and exit pages
  • Pages you view, links you click, and how long you spend on the Site
  • General geographic location (such as country or region) inferred from your IP address
  • Date and time of your visit

This information is gathered through cookies, web beacons, log files, and similar technologies, primarily to understand how visitors use the Site and to serve and measure advertising.

Information you provide voluntarily

We only collect personal information you choose to give us. For example, if you email us at hello@thecozybudget.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. If you subscribe to a newsletter or fill out a form, we receive the details you submit. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to read our content.

Cookies and web beacons

Like most websites, we use cookies — small text files stored on your device — and web beacons (small graphic images) to make the Site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and deliver advertising. Cookies may be “session” cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent” cookies (which remain until they expire or you delete them). Some cookies are set by us, and some are set by third parties such as Google.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings and through our consent banner (see “Your choices and consent” below). For a detailed breakdown of the cookies we use, please see our Cookie Policy.

Google AdSense and the advertising cookie

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on the Site. As a third-party vendor, Google uses cookies — including the DoubleClick / Google advertising cookie — to serve ads to you based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.

  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to the Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on the Site and may use their own cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to collect information about your activity.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
  • You may also opt out of personalized advertising from many participating vendors by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices (Digital Advertising Alliance) or www.youronlinechoices.eu (for users in the EU).

Opting out of personalized advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads — you may still see non-personalized ads, which are based on general factors such as the content of the page you are viewing rather than your browsing history.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you visit, how you arrived at the Site, and how you interact with it. This data helps us improve our content and experience. The information is generally aggregated and is not used by us to personally identify you.

You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We deploy our analytics and advertising tags through Google Tag Manager. For more information about how Google handles data, see Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Third-party vendors and ad networks

In addition to Google, we may work with other third-party service providers, advertising networks, and analytics partners that may set their own cookies or collect information when you use the Site. We do not control these third parties’ cookies or tracking technologies, and their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

Consent management

We use CookieYes, a consent management platform, to obtain and record your cookie preferences. When you first visit the Site (where required by law), a banner lets you accept, reject, or customize the categories of non-essential cookies — such as analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by reopening the consent settings from the cookie banner or settings link on the Site. Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Site to function, cannot be disabled through the banner.

Children’s privacy

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13. In line with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Consistent with the GDPR’s protections for children (“GDPR-K”), we also do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 16 in the European Economic Area without appropriate parental or guardian consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@thecozybudget.com and we will promptly delete it.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom (GDPR)

You may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request that we correct or delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, and request data portability. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA)

You may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion of that information, to correct inaccurate information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing of identifiers with advertising partners for personalized advertising may be considered a “sale” or “share” under certain laws; you can limit this by adjusting your cookie consent settings and by using the advertising opt-outs described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@thecozybudget.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

Data retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Information collected for analytics and advertising is retained according to the retention settings of the relevant third-party services (for example, Google Analytics data retention controls). Emails and correspondence are kept only as long as needed to respond to and document your inquiry.

If you access the Site from outside these jurisdictions, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to such transfers.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We encourage you to review this page periodically.
